Cable vs IPTV in Ontario: the bill, not the slogan
Cable ads quote a promo. IPTV ads quote a teaser month. Your bank sees the number after the gift card, the set-top rental, and the sports pack. Do the arithmetic once so you are not arguing from screenshots.

Write down four lines
Use last month’s statements, not the homepage.
- Internet: you need this for both cable-app hybrids and IPTV.
- TV package + mandatory hardware: cable/IPTV from the telco.
- Sports or premium add-ons you actually watch.
- Any third-party live TV or shop subscription.
What a typical Ontario cable stack costs
A mid bundle with a box often lands in the $80–$130+ range before tax, more with sports. You get a technician path, regulated bills, and channels the company is licensed to sell. That stability is the product.
What IPTV Ontario costs beside that
If internet is already in the house, our 1-connection prices are $11 for one month, $30 for three, $56 for six, and $90 for twelve, with two-year and lifetime on the pricing page. Extra simultaneous screens cost more. There is no set-top rental from us — you use a stick or the Smart TV you own.
That is not “the same as Bell for $11.” It is a different product at a different price. Compare them as such.
When staying on cable is rational
You need a paper trail for a landlord, you watch a specific licensed pack, or you do not want to manage a stick. Paying more for that is not failure. It is a preference.
