How many IPTV connections does an Ontario home need?

“Connections” is the most misunderstood word on IPTV pricing tables. It is not how many devices you own. It is how many streams can play at the same moment. Buy for overlap, not for the junk drawer of old sticks.

Family screens that may run at the same time

Count overlap, not inventory

If the living-room TV is on and a tablet in the kitchen is also on, that is two connections — even if both are “your” account. If you only ever watch one screen, one connection is enough no matter how many devices are signed in and idle.

Typical Ontario layouts

Studio or one-TV house: 1 connection. Couple plus a kid’s tablet during hockey: 2. Living room, basement, and a phone on commute: 3. Roommates who keep different sports on: 3–4. Five is for a large house that actually runs five streams, not a flex number.

What happens if you undershoot

The fifth person gets an error or someone else is kicked. That is expected. Upgrade connections instead of sharing the password around the block. Our pricing grid shows 1–5 on every term so you can see the CAD before you tap Order Now.
